Netflix to Add 14 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix this week (September 22-29, 2025) plans to add 14 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

House of Guinness – Netflix Original Series
Release Date: Thursday, September 25
Anthony Boyle (pictured above) and Louis Partridge star as warring brothers in this retelling of the building of the Guinness brewing company in 1880s Dublin, Ireland. From Steven Knight, the creator of the smashing crime drama, Peaky Blinders, the eight-episode House of Guinness promises to be Succession meets, well, Peaky Blinders, with plenty of sibling rivalry and a dash of larceny.

Wayward – Netflix Original Series
Release Date: Thursday, September 25
Toni Collette stars (I’m already hooked; few actresses are slinging it better than Toni Collette these days) in this psychological thriller as the mysterious head of a private academy for, yes, wayward teens. A private investigator is hired to root out the truth but soon learns that some secrets are better buried. (And that might not be all that’s buried.)

10 Things I Hate About You (1999)
Release Date: Sunday, September 28
If you loved Heath Ledger’s brilliant performance as The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight, check out his early work in this delightful teen romcom. Ledger plays a ‘bad boy’ who falls in love with a beautiful but sheltered fellow student, played with charm by Julia Stiles. The pair seem mismatched from the start but love conquers all. Ledger died of an accidental drug overdose soon after filming The Dark Knight and 10 Things I Hate About You serves as testament that he could have been a major star, excelling in several genres.
