DIRECTV App Now Available On Vizio Smart TVs
DIRECTV announced today that it’s rolling out its streaming app to Vizio Smart TVs. With the app, Vizio Smart TV owners will be able to watch the TV provider’s streaming offerings such as Genre Packs and Signature plans via the Vizio interface. No word on when the app will be available on all Vizio Smart TV sets.
Last Day For Dish Network’s Sunday Ticket Discount
Today is the last day that you can get the NFL Sunday Ticket for $276 if you sign up with Dish Network as a new subscriber. The $276 rate, which is $204 less than the returning Sunday Ticket customer rate at YouTube Primetime Channels, is normally reserved for new users to the package of out-of-market Sunday afternoon games. However, Dish’s terms of agreement do not stipulate that you need to be a new Sunday Ticket subscriber. See this Dish page for details.

DIRECTV Now Selling NBA League Pass
DIRECTV is now selling the NBA League Pass, pro basketball’s package of out-of-market games, for $36.66 a month for three months. (Total price: $109.98.) The plan is available to both satellite and streaming customers.
Dish Subscribers Could Miss Out On ESPN’s NHL Power Play
ESPN offers the NHL Power Play, which includes more than 1,000 out-of-market games, in its ESPN+ lineup on the new ESPN Unlimited app. DIRECTV has obtained the rights for its streaming customers to access the ESPN+ programming for free (along with the entire ESPN Unlimited app). However, Dish has not which means its subscribers may need to pay $11.99 for an ESPN+ subscription to watch the games. See this article for details. DIRECTV to Carry New Orleans Pelicans Games
DIRECTV has agreed to carry the Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment Network, the new regional TV home of the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama The agreement with Gray Media and WAFB will allow DIRECTV, DIRECTV streaming and U-verse subscribers in 14 markets to watch the Pelicans.
