The NBA will return to NBC (and premiere on Peacock) on October 21, 2025 with a doubleheader featuring the defending NBA champ Oklahoma City Thunder hosting the Houston Rockets at 7:30 p.m. ET and the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Golden State Warriors at 10 p.m. ET.

NBC, which last year signed an 11-year broadcasting agreement with the NBA, also announced the debut games for ‘Peacock NBA Monday’ on October 27: The Cleveland Cavaliers will visit the Detroit Pistons at 7 p.m. ET while the Minnesota Timberwolves will host the Denver Nuggets at 9:30 p.m. ET.

Peacock will stream up to three games each Monday night during the NBA regular season with a 30-minute studio show preceding the live action.

After the final NFL Sunday Night Football game in 2026, NBC will launch Sunday Night Basketball on both NBC and Peacock on February 1, 2026. A one-hour, on-site studio program will lead into game coverage each week on NBC and Peacock.

Peacock’s cheapest plan that includes live sports is the Premium plan which is now $10.99 a month. The streamer recently raised it by $3 a month.
