A Message From The TV Answer Man
I write this with a heavy heart but I am ending the site’s daily/regular coverage of the TV industry, effective immediately.
I have been doing this for 25 years, first with TVPredictions.com in 2001, and then with TVAnswerMan.com since 2017. But there’s no way to continue due to Google Search’s decision in 2023 to promote large sites (and marketing partners) over small ones such as this. (Google has 90 percent of the Search market; if it decides to bury your stories, you’re pretty much history.)
I have tried everything imaginable to make this work under these difficult conditions but there’s just no hope anymore.
I appreciate your support over the years and I am very sorry I cannot continue to provide regular updates on issues that I know you care about.
What Does This Mean For TVAnswerMan.com?
The site will stay live so you can read archived material. (There are more than 4,000 stories at the site.) Plus, from time to time, I may post some how-to stories (how to install a Roku; how to avoid a sports blackout, etc.) and perhaps a random commentary on something TV related. So I would encourage you to keep your e-mail subscriptions. You can still receive anything I write via e-mail with subscriptions.
Many thanks again for your support. It’s been a fun ride but it’s time to let it go.

Sorry to hear that. Good luck in your next endeavor.
Yes, very sad news. Thanks for all of your very hard work for all of this time and best regards.
Thanks for your hard work and passion for the business! Maybe try bumblebee or substack?
I’m so very sorry to hear this! Farewell, you will be missed!!
Wish you well. This highlights the need for people to wake up and stop supporting Google. They are not a good company. I avoid all Google services as much as I can.
So very sorry to hear this. I know this must be difficult for you as I could read your passion for what you were writing in every story. I wish you nothing but the best and hope that we will hear from you on something in the future.
Sorry to hear this. For us and yourself. I relied on your direction and solutions. I’m sure your talent will land you in a more lucrative and enjoyable career. Following your comments I must confirm that no email or otherwise communications with you going forward..? I just opened your website but as you implied no dialog will take place concerning our needs, correct.? You mentioned to maintain our subscription to the Answerman. I must have missed the purpose or benefit of that??
Help me out one last time, where do we find future solutions to our TV nightmares.
Thank you and do take care.
Curtis
Yes, the Ask a Question service is over. Many thanks for the kind words and support, Curtis.
I will occasionally (but not often) post a how-to type article. You would receive that via email.
Thank you!
Thank you for your site! You have answered several of my emails through the years, and I know I, along with several of my friends, will miss it. Hoping for the best for you. Good luck
