TV Answer Man, I keep hearing about Tubi. Do you know if they have free sports channels that I wouldn’t have to pay for? – Jamal, Sacramento, California.
Jamal, Tubi, which is owned by Fox, is an ads-supported free streaming service available on your computer, mobile phone or streaming device, such as Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Xfinity X1 set-tops and Sony and Vizio Smart TVs. The free streamer has a large on-demand lineup of movies and shows as well as live channels in several categories including 24 sports nets.
The free sports channels on Tubi include the NFL Channel, the league’s free streaming service featuring classic games and news and info shows (not be confused with the NFL Network); the MLB Channel, baseball’s free service featuring its classic games and other programming (not to be confused with the MLB Network); Fox Sports, which offers a mix of studio and news shows from the network; and HBO Boxing by WB TV, which features classic fights originally broadcast by the premium channel.
As you can see, there are some serious heavyweights providing free programming to Tubi, which makes the free service a great destination for cost-conscious sports fans. You can watch Tubi’s live channels here.
