DIRECTV announced today that it’s added multiview ‘Mix Channels’ to its Signature plan and Genre Pack streaming customers.

The multiview feature, which has been available on DIRECTV satellite for nearly two decades, enables viewers to watch up to four multiple channels at the same time with the audio highlighted on one channel. The Mix Channels added today include:

Sports Mix
ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, NBC Sports (Signature, MySports)

League Sports Mix
MLB Network, NBA TV, NFL Network, NHL Network (Signature, MySports)

News Mix
CNN, Fox News Channel, Fox Weather, MSNBC (Signature, MySports, MyNews, MyEntertainment)

Business Mix
Bloomberg Television, Cheddar News, CNBC, Fox Business, (Signature, MyNews)

Kids Mix
Disney Channel, Disney Jr., Disney XD , Nickelodeon (Signature, MyKids)

The networks in each Mix Channel are available if they are included in the subscriber’s plan. For example, if the MLB Network is in the plan, the subscriber would see it displayed in the Mix Channel.

In select markets where DIRECTV has the rights to stream all local stations, a Locals Mix (ABC, CBS, FOX and NBC) will be available for Signature Package, MySports and MyNews customers.

On September 7, DIRECTV said, a separate Sunday Sports Mix (CBS, Fox, ESPN and FS1) will be available for select Signature Package and MySports customers.

Where to Find DIRECTV’s Mix Channels
DIRECTV Mix Channels are initially available in the 910+ channel range and in the ‘Your TV’ carousel on DIRECTV Gemini devices, Roku, Fire TV, and Android TV. Apple TV and Samsung Tizen will be added in the coming weeks.
