Amazon, Netflix, Hulu & HBO Max Add 10 New Releases Today – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max and Peacock are adding 10 new TV shows and movies today (December 16, 2025). Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

NBA Cup Finals – Amazon’s Prime Video
Release Date: Tuesday, December 16, 8:30 p.m. ET
Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks will face Victor Wembanyama and his San Antonio Spurs in the 2025 NBA Cup Final from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The Knicks made it to the in-season tournament finals by defeating the Orlando Magic, 132-120, with Brunson netting 40 points. The Spurs reached the finals edging out the Oklahoma City Thunder, 111-109, behind Wembanyama’s 22 points. Amazon Prime will stream the game exclusively.

The Joker Folie a Deux (2024) – Amazon’s Prime Video
Release Date: Today, 3 a.m. ET
Joaquin Phoenix is back as The Joker in this sequel to the often-absorbing 2019 film, Joker, but he’s joined by Lady Gaga and it’s a musical drama!? Wait a minute. What?! Yeah, that’s what many of the critics said, too. Why did director Todd Phillips turn this comic book villain into a crooning criminal? The result was mixed, to put it generously, with most fans and reviewers running for the exits. However, some contrarians are still calling it a work of genius so you can judge for yourself this week.

Fallout – Season Two – Amazon’s Prime Video
Release Date: Tuesday, December 16 at 9 p.m. ET
Based on the role-playing video game series, Fallout stars Ella Purnell (Yellowjackets, pictured above ) as Lucy, a nuclear apocalypse survivor who leaves her bunker to search for her father in devastated Los Angeles. Walton Goggins (Justified) plays a dangerous bounty hunter who has transformed into a living ghoul. The show has received strong critical reviews with Rotten Tomatoes giving it a score of 93. Season two will continue Lucy’s search for the truth while a new war is on the horizon. Note that Amazon originally was to debut season two on Wednesday, but moved up the launch date to tonight at 9 p.m. ET.
