Deal Alert: DIRECTV’s MyEntertainment Genre Pack For $29.99

DIRECTV is now selling its MyEntertainment genre pack for $29.99 a month for the first two months, a $10 savings over the regular price of $34.99 a month for two months.

Okay, the discount is not dramatic, but the existing value in MyEntertainment makes this a good deal. Not only does the plan offer more than 60 entertainment channels, you get the ads-included HBO Max/Disney/Hulu bundle at no additional cost.

The HBO Max/Disney/Hulu ads-included bundle normally costs $19.99 a month. So for an extra $10 a month in the first two months, you get the 60 entertainment channels as well.

The 60-channel lineup includes such popular networks as Bravo, CNBC, CNN, FX, FXM, Cooking Channel, Syfy, and The History Channel, among others. You can see the complete list here.

The two-month MyEntertainment promotion also includes DIRECTV’s MyCinema add-on pack for free. The MyCinema plan has 11 channels including Turner Classic Movies and Sony Movies.

DIRECTV offers a five-day free trial with MyEntertainment if you want to check it out. And note that DIRECTV’s genre packs are still only available on streaming, not satellite.

In my view, MyEntertainment is easily the best value of the five DIRECTV genre packs. (My News is easily the worst with fewer than 20 channels for $39.99 a month.)
