Fubo Subs: How to Get a Free Trial to NBC’s Peacock

TV Answer Man, Fubo subscriber here. I want to watch NBC but I don’t want to switch streaming services. Any ideas for us? – Tom, Alexandria, Virginia.

Tom, you are not alone in your dilemma. Since Fubo lost all NBC channels in a carriage dispute last Friday, subscribers have been scrambling for alternatives to continue watching the peacock network.

I noted on Saturday that you could get a five-day free trial from either YouTube TV or DIRECTV streaming, both of which carry the entire NBC suite of channels. However, there is a third way that many people might not be aware of.

Amazon’s Prime Video offers a free seven-day trial to Peacock’s Premium Plus plan. (Try saying that three times in a row.) This is unusual because Peacock does not offer free trials at its web site. But you can get one with Amazon.

The $16.99 a month Peacock Premium Plus plan offers a live feed of your local NBC affiliate as well as the lion’s share of programming on the other NBC channels. If you signed up today, that would take you through the weekend. However, be sure to cancel prior to the end of the seven days or you will be billed $16.99 for the first month of service.
