TV Answer Man, I have Fubo. How can I continue to watch NBC and MS Now? – John, Philadelphia.

John, Fubo yesterday lost all NBCUniversal stations in a carriage dispute with the network. The channels include the NBC affiliates, MS NOW, CNBC, USA Network, Bravo and others.

The good news is that you can continue to watch NBC without paying an extra dime – and keep your Fubo subscription.

DIRECTV streaming, which carries all the NBC channels, is now offering a five-day free trial. If you are a new DIRECTV user, you can get the free trial for five days and hope the Fubo/NBC impasse ends in that time period. Simple, right?

If you are not a DIRECTV new user, you can also get a five-day free trial from YouTube TV. (Again, it’s for new YouTube TV users.) Not only does YouTube TV have the NBC channels, it has the new NBC Sports Network as an exclusive.

We don’t know how long the Fubo/NBC dispute will last, but carriage blackouts are often less than a week so the free trial is worth a try. If the fight lasts longer than five days, you could put up an antenna for your local NBC affiliate (assuming you get a strong signal where you live) or actually subscribe to a different streaming service (update:) such as the $10.99 a month NBC owned Peacock which offers a live NBC affiliate feed and a large collection of NBC programming. Or, just hang in there with Fubo until the dust settles. At least you have options.
