Hulu to Add 162 New Shows & Movies In September 2025 – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Hulu next month (September 2025) plans to add 162 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Chad Powers (Hulu Original)
Release Date: September 30 (First two episodes)
Glen Powell (Hit Man, Twisters) stars as a disgraced NFL quarterback who dons a disguise to play for a college football team in this Hulu original comedy series. The premise is based loosely, very loosely, on Eli Manning’s character prank in his ESPN series, but the trailer looks fun and Powell (pictured above) has both the charm and athleticism (he played high school football) to pull it off.

FX’s The Lowdown
Release Date: September 24 (First two episodes)
Ethan Hawke stars as an Oklahoma ‘citizen journalist’ whose investigations may get dangerously close to the truth. Based on a true story.

Swiped (Hulu Original)
Release Date: September 19
Lily James (so good as Pamela Anderson in Hulu’s Pam & Tommy) stars as Whitney Wolfe Herd, the founder and former CEO of dating app Bumble who vowed to change the rules of dating. (Good luck on that one.) The film explores Herd’s difficulties in breaking the old boys network of online seduction. (She became a billionaire so something worked.)
