CBS, NBC, PBS, ABC, Fox, CW Adding 20 New Shows Tonight: The 3 to Watch

The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

Fox, NBC, CW, CBS, PBS and ABC tonight (March 1, 2026) will add 20 new shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

60 Minutes (New episode)
What Kind of Show: TV News Magazine
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 7 p.m.
Sharyn Alfonsi, last seen screaming at her boss over a story on a prison in El Salvador, will investigate school shootings and ask whether a shooter’s parents should be held accountable. Also: Bill Whitaker reports on left-leaning judges who say they are under siege over rulings that have upset conservative critics. Finally, Anderson Cooper, who is resigning from the show due to alleged editorial interference, reports on life in Haiti following a devastating earthquake. (Lots of drama on this show and most of it is behind the scenes!)

Marshals (Premiere episode)
What Kind of Show: Drama/Western
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
Who’s In It: Luke Grimes, Gil Birmingham
The latest Yellowstone spin-off, Marshals, stars Luke Grimes as Kayce Dutton, a former Navy Seal and rancher who joins the U.S. Marshals to protect Montana. Grimes was a popular player on Yellowstone so Marshals should bring in a big audience for tonight’s premiere.

NBA Basketball: Philadelphia at Boston
What Kind of Show: Live Basketball
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 8 p.m.
The Celtics (39-20) and the 76ers (33-26) are jockeying for playoff position with roughly six weeks left in the season. Boston is led by Jaylen Brown who’s averaging 29.1 points a game while the Sixers are paced by Tyrese Maxey who’s also scoring 29.1 points per contest.

Update: ABC just announced that it will air a special on the war in Iran at 9 p.m. ET.

NBC
NBA Showtime – 7 p.m.
