Netflix today (March 1, 2026) has added 22 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

The Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA — Netflix Live Event (7 p.m. ET)
What Kind of Show: Awards
Who’s In It: Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell will host this Hollywood salute to itself with awards handed out to the best (or, at least, most popular) actors in TV and cinema in 2025. Tonight, expect a few comedic zingers about Netflix’s failure to buy Warner Bros. Discovery; plenty of awards for One Battle After Another; and at least one strident speech about the war in Iran. (It’s Hollywood, folks; they need to express themselves.)

Ray (2004)
What Kind of Movie: Bio Drama
Who’s In It: Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington, Terrence Howard

Ray, directed by Taylor Hackford chronicles the life story of the late and great blind singer, Ray Charles, starring Jamie Foxx in the performance of a lifetime. Foxx’s exceptional (and still underrated) talents are on full display and Hackford does a masterful job of showing the singer’s full life, warts and all.

Casino (1995)
What Kind of Movie: Crime Drama
Who’s In It: Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci, Sharon Stone, Don Rickles, James Woods

Director Martin Scorsese’s brilliant cinematic essay on the rise and fall of the Mob-controlled Las Vegas stars Robert De Niro as an obsessive gambler named Ace Rothstein who’s hired to operate a casino. Ace’s master plan is soon derailed by his chorus girl wife (played beautifully by Sharon Stone) and a ruthless sidekick (played deliciously over the top by Joe Pesci.) While some critics chafed that Casino did not measure up to Scorsese’s Goodfellas, the 1995 is an iconic classic on its own.
