DIRECTV Adds 4 More Free Channels

DIRECTV has added four new ad-supported free channels to its MyFree DIRECTV streaming service.

The channels are:

Love After Lock Up (channel 4269)
A channel featuring the reality show that chronicles the lives of couples where one person is behind bars. (Definitely reduces the choice in meeting places.)

Stories By AMC (channel 4325)
A channel from AMC that features critically-acclaimed shows from the basic cable network such as Better Call Saul (pictured above) and The Walking Dead.

Acorn TV Mysteries (channel 4204)
A channel featuring top mysteries from the British-based channel such as Midsomer Murders.

America’s Funniest Home Videos
A 24/7 channel streaming episodes of the popular ABC user video show which has been on air for more than three decades. (YouTube before YouTube.)

MyFree DIRECTV, which is available to both DIRECTV subscribers and non-DIRECTV consumers, now includes more than 150 live channels and on-demand programming. You can watch the free channels by creating a DIRECTV account at DIRECTV.com and then going to the DIRECTV Stream app or this web page.

DIRECTV is hoping that MyFree DIRECTV will generate additional advertising revenue as well as attract potential customers who might subscribe to the pay TV service after coming to its site/app.
