ESPN and WWE announced today that WWE Premium Live Events will debut earlier than expected on the sports network’s new cord cutter app with a September 20 Wrestlepalooza live from the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

The companies earlier this month disclosed they had signed a five-year agreement for ESPN to become the new exclusive TV carrier of all WWE Premium Live events, including WrestleMania. Peacock was the previous carrier of those events.

The ESPN-WWE partnership was expected to start in 2026 but they said the Wrestlepalooza event will stream live on the new ESPN unlimited app on September 20 at 7 p.m. ET.

“On September 20, WWE and ESPN are coming together for a can’t-miss event to kick off our new partnership,” said WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque. “The biggest Superstars in WWE. The biggest brand in sports media. Are you ready?”

The ESPN app, which launches tomorrow (August 21, 2025) and will cost $29.99 a month, will also stream the WWE Crown Jewel event on Saturday, October 11 and the Survivor Series on Saturday, November 29.

Today’s press release said the September 20 Wrestlepalooza will feature John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, CM Punk and Drew McIntyre in various matches.

ESPN says some WWE events will air on cable/satellite ESPN channels as well but did not reveal details today.
