Max to Add 97 New Releases In March 2025 – Here Are 3 You Can’t Miss

The TV Answer Man – Follow me on X.

Max this month (March 2025) plans to add 97 new movies and TV shows to its streaming lineup. Here are the three you don’t want to miss, in my humble opinion:

Celtics City – Max Original
The Boston Celtics are arguably (the argument would come from Los Angeles) the best pro basketball franchise to ever take the court and this entertaining and insightful documentary on the team from longtime fan Bill Simmons (and others) seals the case that it’s also the most interesting. From coach Red Auerbach’s insistence on integrating the team in the 1950s and 60s to its epic battles (Larry Bird vs. Magic Johnson; Bill Russell vs. Wilt Chamberlain) with the Lakers to its present-day glory, Celtics City captures it all, leaving other teams, well, green with envy. First episode debuts on Max on Monday, March 3. Future episodes every Monday through April 28.

March Madness

And speaking of basketball, Max will offer 1080p Dolby Vision HD coverage of this month’s March Madness men’s college basketball tournament. The games, which will be simulcast on TNT, TBS and truTV, will include:

Mar. 18
First Four

Mar. 19
First Four

Mar. 20
1st Round

Mar. 21
1st Round

Mar. 22
2nd Round

Mar. 23
2nd Round

Mar. 27
Sweet 16

Mar. 28
Sweet 16

Mar. 29
Elite 8

CBS again will also broadcast March Madness games and you can watch them on the network or with a Paramount Plus with Showtime plan for $12.99 a month.

Note: Max’s live sporting events are now available on all Max plans, but they will be removed from the $9.99 a month ads-included package starting March 30. See our article for more details.

Paul American – Max Original
You may not like Jake and Logan Paul, but the brash YouTube influencers turned media moguls (and boxers!) are undeniably innovative, smart and cunning. That’s why you should watch Max’s eight-episode reality series featuring the Brothers Paul and their ongoing quest to conquer the culture. We all might just learn a few things – about them, ourselves and the crazy world in which we live. Debuts on Max on March 27.

Movie fans should also check out Heretic, the 2024 horror film starring Hugh Grant as a reclusive psychopath who traps two young Mormon missionaries in his house and proceeds to scare the bejesus out of them, so to speak. Plenty of jump scares and a delicious turn by Grant. Heretic debuts March 7.
