DIRECTV Subs: Still Waiting On Your ESPN Activation Notice? Here’s the Latest Update

TV Answer Man, I have DIRECTV satellite and I still haven’t received my activation notice for the ESPN app. Do you know if they are done sending them? – Ron, Vail, Colorado.

Ron, the new ESPN Unlimited app, which has all the ESPN live channel feeds plus exclusive programming from ESPN+, has been available for free to DIRECTV streaming customers since the app’s launch on August 21.

But DIRECTV said in August that satellite customers would not get free access to the ESPN+ programming until the fall and perhaps as late as November 30. But now that it’s December 9, DIRECTV says every satellite customer with ESPN in their programming package should have received the ESPN Unlimited activation e-mail by now.

The company’s customer service team on X adds that there should now be an ‘Activate ESPN Unlimited’ link in your Settings on your DIRECTV online account.

“If you still can’t find your email or the online link after November 30, please call 833-308-0917 for assistance,” DIRECTV says.

If you’re even a casual fan, I would encourage you to activate your ESPN Unlimited access. The app is a convenient and entertaining way to watch all the live sports and related programming from the sports network.
