TV Answer Man, I would like to know more about Comcast’s new sports plan. How many channels does it have and what are they? Thank you in advance. – Sam, Landover, Maryland.

Sam, Comcast’s Xfinity TV on January 23 began selling a ‘Sports and News’ package for $70 a month when combined with Xfinity Internet service. (The Comcast plan is $90 a month to subscribers who don’t get the Internet through Xfinity.)

Like DIRECTV, which earlier this month launched a sports and news package for $70 a month, Comcast is trying to reach cost-conscious consumers who want to watch specific genres without paying for a more expensive bundle with dozens of other channels included. To sweeten the pot, Comcast’s new package includes the ads-included Peacock Premium plan for free (normally $7.99 a month) along with 300 hours of DVR storage.

But its channel lineup will likely determine whether Xfinity’s Sports and News succeeds. Will consumers find the 52 channels so compelling that they will be willing to shell out $70 a month? You can decide for yourself by checking out the list below.

Here’s the complete list of channels now available on Xfinity’s Sports and News (not counting free channels which can you watch without a subscription via a variety of free streaming services including Comcast and Charter’s Xumo.)
