Netflix this week (January 26-February 1, 2025) plans to add 32 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

You Hurt My Feelings (2023)
Julia Louis-Dreyfuss (Seinfeld, Veep) stars as an aging teacher and aspiring novelist who begins to question her marriage after her husband (Tobias Menzies) is caught lying about his true feelings regarding her writing. The premise may not sound scintillating, but Louis-Dreyfuss and Menzies are wonderful together (and funny) in this rare cinematic portrait of the subtleties of keeping a marriage together. Rotten Tomatoes, which rates movies on critical reviews, gives You Hurt My Feelings a 95 score. Debuts Sunday, January 26.

Here (2024)
And speaking of marriage, Tom Hanks and Robin Wright (reuniting after Forrest Gump) play husband and wife who are shown at various points in their decades-long relationship. Director Robert Zemeckis (who directed Forrest Gump) used artificial intelligence to de-age the leads for the early scenes and the technology works for the most part. But the film is worth viewing mostly to see Hanks and Wright back together again. Debuts Thursday, January 30.

Parasite (2019)
The winner of the 2020 Oscar for Best Picture. The film, which is based in South Korea, is the story of a lower-class family that tricks a wealthy family into hiring them as their personal assistants. However, the scam backfires when the lower-class family encounters an unexpected turn of events once inside the luxurious house. Parasite is a suspenseful and thrilling look at class warfare disguised as a crime drama. Debuts Saturday, February 1.
