TV Answer Man, I’m looking for a live streamer for sports. Do you know if Hulu Live has regional sports networks? – Tom, town withheld.

Tom, Hulu Live, a multi-channel live streaming service, has roughly 100 channels of all genres for $82.99 a month. The plan also includes Hulu’s Video on Demand catalog with ads, Disney Plus with ads and ESPN+ with ads. So the streamer offers a lot of programming for the price. (Also note there is a three-day free trial. You can learn more about Hulu Live here.)

But to your question, which regional sports networks (RSNs) does Hulu Live carry? If you’re a rabid fan of a local team, that might be the most important factor in determining which service you get, right?

Well, Hulu Live has six RSNs and here they are:

NBC Sports Bay Area
NBC Sports Boston
NBC Sports California
NBC Sports Philadelphia
SportsNet New York
Monumental Sports Network

And that’s it.

If you live in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York, Boston or Northern California, Hulu Live could be your answer, although they don’t have all the RSNs in those markets. For example, Hulu Live carries Monumental Sports Network but not MASN, the regional TV home of the Washington Nationals and Baltimore Orioles.

So it’s difficult to recommend Hulu Live as a good choice for local sports fans. DIRECTV Stream, which has 33 RSNs, or Fubo, which has 31, would be better picks.

Tom, hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
