DIRECTV, Comcast to Carry MLS Season Pass In 2025

DIRECTV and Apple have signed an agreement to allow the TV provider to offer the MLS Season Pass to residential satellite and streaming customers for the first time. The deal will start on February 22, the day the 2025 MLS season begins.

The companies said in a press release that DIRECTV will offer the soccer package as a free preview from February 22 through March 1.

Starting today, DIRECTV residential streaming customers can sign up to watch MLS Season Pass for $14.99 a month through DIRECTV and watch games via DIRECTV or in the Apple TV app. DIRECTV  Satellite customers can purchase the full season for $99.

Every game will be available to watch live on DIRECTV on channels 480 through 495.

Apple has had the MLS soccer package as an exclusive for the last two years. However, the software giant is looking to broaden the audience.

“As we enter the third year of our partnership with Major League Soccer, we’re committed to making MLS Season Pass more accessible than ever,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s VP of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Sports, and Beats. “We’re thrilled to provide DirecTV customers with an easy and seamless way to experience everything MLS Season Pass has to offer throughout the 2025 season.”

Comcast and Apple today also announced plans to offer the MLS Season Pass to all Xfinity subscribers. The price will be $14.99 a month and Comcast will offer a free preview between February 22 and March 2.
