Amazon’s Prime Video to Add 9 New Releases This Week: The 3 to Watch

Amazon’s Prime Video this week (February 9-15, 2026) will add nine new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Soul Power: The Legend of the American Basketball Association
When to Watch: Thursday, February 12
What Kind of Show: Sports Documentary
Who’s In It: Julius Erving, Spencer Haywood, Moses Malone
The Amazon original doc chronicles the wild and crazy history of the American Basketball Association which challenged the established NBA for nine years in the late 1960s and 1970s. The league, which nurtured young stars such as Julius Erving, Artis Gilmore, Moses Malone and Spencer Haywood, introduced such novel concepts as the three-point shot, multi-colored ball and a funkadelic style of play that had to be seen to be believed. Picking this documentary as one of the three to watch in February is a slam dunk.

Cross (Season Two)
When to Watch: Wednesday, February 11
What Kind of Show: Mystery/Drama
Who’s In It: Aldis Hodge, Matthew Lillard
Aldis Hodge stars as a detective and forensic psychologist who has a special insight into the psyches of killers. Based on the James Patterson novels, the first season delivered plenty of chills and thrills. In the eight-episode season two, Cross hunts down a new serial killer and Matthew Lillard will join the cast. (The first three episodes of season two will debut on February 11 with a new episode every Wednesday until the season finale on March 18. Season one is now available on Amazon’s Prime Video.)

Good Sports (New Episode)
When to Watch: Tuesday, February 10 (8 p.m.)
What Kind of Show: Sports Talk
Who’s In It: Kenan Thompson, Kevin Hart
Kenan Thompson and Kevin Hart continue their sports talk show series, casting a funny eye (well, four eyes) at recent top games with celebrity interviews and other miscellaneous filler. Love sports and need a quick laugh? This one is for you.
