DIRECTV announced last night that its streaming customers can now add the MLB TV out-of-market plan for $149.99
The baseball service had been unavailable on DIRECTV streaming although the company’s satellite audience could order the MLB Extra Innings plan, the cable/satellite equivalent of MLB TV.
MLB TV includes almost all out-of-market games, but note that local blackouts apply with the plan as it does for Extra Innings.
The MLB TV news was part of DIRECTV’s announcement that it will carry all ex-FanDuel Sports Network teams in 2026 as well as the Washington Nationals and Seattle Mariners.

“MLB fans can continue to rely on DIRECTV to deliver their favorite local teams,” Rob Thun, chief content officer at DIRECTV, said in a press release “We remain committed to working with the league and its clubs to keep loyal fans connected.”
The ex-FanDuel teams are: Braves, Reds, Tigers, Royals, Marlins, Brewers, Rays and Cardinals. DIRECTV says the Braves deal should be announced officially today or tomorrow.
DIRECTV today will also offer a free seven-day preview of Extra Innings for its satellite customers. MLB TV comes with a free seven-day preview at any time during the season.
