NBC, Fox, CBS, ABC & CW Will Add 12 New Shows – Here Are the 3 to Watch

CBS, The CW, Fox, NBC and ABC tonight (December 19, 2025) will add 12 new shows to their lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion. (Hint: Big night for sports fans.)

College Football: Alabama vs, Oklahoma (CFP First Round) – ABC
Air Time: 8 p.m. ET
Whoa, Nellie! Ninth ranked Alabama plays 8th ranked Oklahoma in the first round of the 2025 college football playoff. The winner will advance to the CFP’s (College Football Playoff) next round and play top ranked Indiana in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 2026. ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives Alabama a narrow 50.9 percent chance of winning while the latest odds make Oklahoma a 1.5-point favorite.

College Basketball: Wisconsin at Villanova – Fox
Air Time: 8 p.m. ET
The 7-3 unranked Wisconsin Badgers will play the 8-2 unranked Villanova Wildcats from the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. Nicolas Boyd is averaging 20.2 points a game for Wisconsin while Bryce Lindsay is pacing Villanova with 17.2 points a game. Should be a competitive game; ESPN’s Matchup Predictor gives Wisconsin a narrow 52 percent chance of winning.

Yogi’s First Christmas – The CW
Air Time: 8 p.m.
And if you’re not a sports fan, The CW has you covered with a reairing of Yogi’s First Christmas, the 1980 animated movie about everyone’s favorite food-pilfering bear, Yogi. The film tells how Yogi can still celebrate the holidays after having to hibernate with Boo-Boo. Great for the kids.

Dateline – 9 p.m.
Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon (Guests: Gwen Stefani, Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp) – 11:35 p.m.

Yogi’s First Christmas – 8 p.m.
