Why Did Sunday’s BravesVision Have So Many Picture Screw-Ups?

TV Answer Man, I have BravesVision on DIRECTV and the feed today (Sunday, April 5) was glitchy as you know what. Did other people have this problem? – Darla, Atlanta.

Darla, oh my yes. More fans that I can count took to social media yesterday to express their anger at the glitchy feed of the Braves game against the Diamondbacks on BravesVision, the new channel for the Atlanta Braves. They said the picture sometimes froze, jumped ahead or displayed the spinning wheel of death on streaming. Just look at these comments:

“Watched every game this season through Braves Vision on MLB this was the 2nd really bad game with freezes amd glitches. The video quality/claroty upgrade is great. I am sure they will get it figured out,” wrote Jeff Myers on X.

“Literally missed half of the pitches in the final 3 innings,” added ‘Drunk Gilbino.’

“It has been rough! I’m giving a bit of a grace period because BravesVision can be great but it was VERY glitchy today,” said Mark Flowers.

“It’s horrible. Worst ever. Glitches ever 20 seconds. Get new servers. Yall obviously sold to many memberships and servers are overloaded. You better go ahead and get ready for refunds and cancelations. The public is not putting up with this. Not for $99,” wrote TheMoneyPrinter911.

“Literally missed half of the pitches in the final 3 innings,” added ‘Drunk Gilbino.’

To make matters worse, the problems occurred throughout the game between the Braves and Diamondbacks and the BravesVision’s customer service team definitely dropped the ball.

“Hi fans, we see your comments on issues impacting the feed and we are looking into it,” the BravesVision X team wrote at 6:52 p.m. ET.

That’s nice but the team’s X account never followed up with an explanation for the problem or suggestions on how fans could fix it at home.

The Braves next play tonight against the Los Angeles Angels at 9:35 p.m. ET. Fans can only hope that things will improve.

Darla, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
