Will the Hulu Live Deal Give Fubo the Rights to TNT & TBS?

TV Answer Man, will Fubo now get the Hulu Live channels with the merger including TBS and TNT? – Aaron, New Haven, Connecticut.
Aaron, Fubo and Disney announced today that they have closed the deal that will combine Fubo’s live TV business with the Hulu Live business. However, instead of becoming one service with a combined offering, Hulu Live and Fubo will remain separate services with different lineups and prices.
Since they are now part of the same business, however, does that mean Fubo will get the same carriage rights as Hulu Live and vice versa? Specifically, will Fubo finally fill a major programming hole and add TBS and TNT, two Turner Network channels that are on Hulu Live? Fubo lost three Turner-owned networks (TNT, TBS and truTV) in a carriage dispute in 2020.
The answer: Apparently not. The TV Answer Man today asked a Fubo spokeswoman and she said: “There are no changes in the product offerings at this time.”
So if you’ve been expecting Fubo to suddenly start offering NHL, NBA and MLB games that are on TNT and TBS, you’re in for some disappointment. At least for now.
Aaron, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!

Booooo! That sucks. I hate having to have the TV and two iPads going to make sure I see all I wanna see when if they were all on the Fubo service, I could put them all in Multiview.
Phillip, Will there be any legal reason why fubo couldn’t add the Turner channels now? Or is it more that they just don’t want to hassle with it?
No comment from them beyond what’s in the story.
If we subscribe to Fubo are we going to have to pay another fee to subscribe to Hulu live tv?
As of now, yes.
