Peacock to Remove 24 Movies In 3 Days – Here Are the 3 to Watch Before They Leave

Peacock plans to remove 24 movies on November 1, 2025. Here are the three to watch before they leave, in my humble opinion:
Friday Night Lights (2004)
The TV show starring Kyle Chandler and Connie Britton gets all the love, but the original 2004 movie starring Billy Bob Thornton as a Texas high school football coach in mythical Dillon, Texas is just as good. (And guess who plays his wife? That’s right. Connie Britton.) Peter Berg, the showrunner for the TV show, directed the movie and co-wrote the screenplay.
Drop (2025)
Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus) stars as a widower whose first date in years goes south when she suddenly starts receiving threatening text messages. The tension builds when she discovers the messages are coming from someone in the restaurant. Drop is not Hitchcock level, but Fahy is very good in lead and helps makes the film an entertaining and fast-paced 95 minutes. Dim the lights, and your expectations, and you’ll have a good time.
The Birds (1963)
Directed by Alfred Hitchcock, The Birds stars Tippi Hedren (pictured above) as a socialite whose visit to a sleepy Northern California bayside village suddenly provokes a cataclysmic attack by a bunch of birds. The film, a study in the uneasy relationship between man and nature (as well as the power of the icy unattainable blonde), is one of Hitchcock’s best. Rod Taylor co-stars.
