Netflix: When Can You Watch Spotify’s Video Podcasts?

TV Answer Man, I heard that Netflix now has Spotify video podcasts like the Bill Simmons show. But I don’t see them on my Netflix home page. What am I doing wrong? – Bo, Worcester, Massachusetts.

Bo, Netflix yesterday announced a new agreement with Spotify to carry several The Ringer video podcasts including The Bill Simmons Podcast (pictured above) from the former ESPN analyst, The Rewatchables, a movie chatfest (one of my favorites), and other sports shows on the NFL, NBA and F1, among others. There will also be true crime video pods such as Conspiracy Theories.

But you can’t watch them yet because they won’t be added to the Netflix lineup until early 2026.

“At Netflix, we’re always looking for new ways to entertain our members, wherever and however they want to watch,” Lauren Smith, Netflix’s vice president of content licensing and programming, said in a statement. “As video podcasts continue to grow in popularity, our partnership with Spotify allows us to bring full video versions of these top shows to both Netflix and Spotify audiences. From pop culture and lifestyle to true crime and sports, this curated selection of video podcasts adds fresh voices and new perspectives to Netflix, making our entertainment lineup more exciting than ever.”

Netflix, which in the last few years has added live sports to its catalog of original shows/movies and licensed programming, continues to explore ways to broaden its offering to keep subscribers engaged. Although Netflix remains the top streaming service in the U.S., and worldwide, the company knows the competition for viewers will only escalate from well-heeled programmers such as Disney and Amazon.
