NBC this Saturday and Sunday (September 27, 28, 2025) will air the Ryder Cup golf tournament from Farmingdale, New York in 4K. The 4K coverage will begin at 7 a.m ET on Saturday and noon ET on Sunday. Tournament play will be simulcast in HD 1080i on NBC affiliates.

The Ryder Cup will actually start on Friday, September 26, but it won’t be available in 4K that day. You can watch it in HD on the USA Network starting at 7 a.m ET.

Which Providers Will Carry the Tournament In 4K?
DIRECTV, Optimum TV, Fubo and YouTube TV are among the TV providers that are expected to carry the Ryder Cup action in 4K on special 4K channels. Consult your on-screen guide to see if your provider will carry the game in 4K.

The tournament will be available in 1080p HD on Peacock, the NBC operated streaming service. You will need a minimum of Peacock’s $10.99 a month plan to watch it in HD.

The NBC broadcast is expected to be upscaled to 4K on DIRECTV and YouTube TV, meaning it will be produced in 1080p HD and upscaled to the higher format for home delivery. While upscaled 4K is not regarded as precise or vivid as native 4K (4K on-site production; 4K cameras; and 4K transmission to the home), it can deliver a more colorful and clear picture than a regular HD image.

Who’s Expected to Win the Ryder Cup?
The top players in the United States and Europe will compete as teams for the annual bragging rights. The US is a slight favorite to win (-150), according to the latest odds. USA’s Scottie Scheffler is the favorite to be the top combined points scorer, followed by Jon Rahm and Rory McIlroy.
