Comcast today launched the World Soccer Ticket, a $85 a month Xfinity TV package dedicated to live soccer programming.
The cable operator said the plan will offer more than 1,500 matches from the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, Major League Soccer, LALIGA, Liga MX, and the FIFA World Cup.
The package, which includes an Xfinity X1 device, offers nearly 60 channels plus the Comcast-owned Peacock streaming service.
Comcast says some soccer matches will be available in 4K (Premier League and FIFA World Cup games are in 4K) and subscribers will also be able to watch multiple games on one screen with the Multiview feature.
“Figuring out where to watch your favorite team or match is often a painful game of chance. Now, with World Soccer Ticket, there’s no better way to watch the beautiful game than with Xfinity,” Jon Gieselman, Comcast’s chief growth officer for connectivity and platforms, said in a statement. “It’s easy, we did the work for our customers and pulled together the most coveted leagues and tournaments – from Premier League, LALIGA and Champions League to the World Cup – and put them in one place. We added some magic to the experience with innovations like Multiview, 4K and Sports Zone all easily accessible with one simple click or voice command.”
World Soccer Ticket offers nearly 60 broadcast stations, cable news and English and Spanish-language sports channels. The lineup includes the local network affiliates (ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox), ESPN, FS1, FS2, Univision, Universo and Telemundo, among others.
