Netflix this week (February 16-22, 2025) plans to add 13 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here is the one show you don’t want to miss, in my humble opinion:

Zero Day โ€“ Netflix Original Series
Robert De Niro stars as a former president of the United States who investigates the secrets behind a crippling cyberattack while trying to shield some troubling personal secrets. This is De Niroโ€™s first TV series and itโ€™s a particularly interesting choice now since De Niro has been a frequent and outspoken critic of the man who was just elected president of the real United States, President Donald J. Trump. The grand actor tellsย Netflixโ€™s Tudumย that the show serves as a warning that a president in real life should not โ€œplay games. Be honest about whatโ€™s going on so that the public knows whatโ€™s going on.โ€ Zero Dayโ€™s supporting cast is also impressive with Angela Bassett as the showโ€™s current president; Jesse Plemons (who worked with De Niro in Martin Scorseseโ€™s Killers of the Flower Moon) as De Niroโ€™s aide; Lizzy Caplan as a New York congresswoman; and Connie Britton as De Niroโ€™s former chief of staff.ย Debuts on Netflix on Thursday, February 20.
