Netflix this week (February 16-22, 2025) plans to add 13 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here is the one show you don’t want to miss, in my humble opinion:
Zero Day โ Netflix Original Series
Robert De Niro stars as a former president of the United States who investigates the secrets behind a crippling cyberattack while trying to shield some troubling personal secrets. This is De Niroโs first TV series and itโs a particularly interesting choice now since De Niro has been a frequent and outspoken critic of the man who was just elected president of the real United States, President Donald J. Trump. The grand actor tellsย Netflixโs Tudumย that the show serves as a warning that a president in real life should not โplay games. Be honest about whatโs going on so that the public knows whatโs going on.โ Zero Dayโs supporting cast is also impressive with Angela Bassett as the showโs current president; Jesse Plemons (who worked with De Niro in Martin Scorseseโs Killers of the Flower Moon) as De Niroโs aide; Lizzy Caplan as a New York congresswoman; and Connie Britton as De Niroโs former chief of staff.ย Debuts on Netflix on Thursday, February 20.
