Netflix to Add 17 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix this week (November 16-22, 2025) plans to add 17 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Zodiac (2007)
Release Date: Monday, November 17
The David Fincher-directed thriller about the notorious real-life serial killer in the 1970s Bay Area stars Jake Gyllenhaal as a San Francisco newspaper cartoonist who becomes obsessed with the hunt. Fincher shrewdly chronicles how one man’s thirst for the truth can become all consuming while simultaneously displaying a similar impact one evil man can have on a city of millions. Brilliant film with great performances from Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey, Jr., his newsroom colleague, and Mark Ruffalo as the lead cop.

The Carmen Family Deaths (Netflix Documentary)
Release Date: Wednesday, November 19
And true crime fans get another treat this week with Netflix’s new documentary about a young Rhode Island man who was found lost at sea after his mother’s ship (and his mother) disappeared. The tragic story soon turned to mystery when gaps in his story developed and investigators began looking into the murder of his father a few years earlier.

A Man On the Inside – Netflix Comedy (Season 2)
Release Date: Thursday, November 20
Just when you thought you didn’t need another Ted Danson comedy, Netflix serves up this charming series featuring the Cheers (and dozens of other shows) star as a retired professor who’s hired to be a spy to investigate dirty doings. In season one, the professor was planted at a retirement home. Here in season two, Danson’s character returns to his former college where the actor will be joined by his real life wife, Mary Steenburgen, in another undercover operation.
