Netflix to Add 8 New Shows & Movies This Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix this week (November 23-29, 2025) plans to add eight new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Stranger Things – Season 5 (4 Episodes)
Release Date: Wednesday, November 26 at 8 p.m. ET.
The final season of the upside down world of those crazy kids begins on November 26 with four episodes dropping. Then, three more will be added on December 25 and the final episode on December 31. If you’re not familiar with Stranger Things by now, the show, which stars Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown, follows a mysterious young girl (Brown) who opens a pathway between Earth and a hostile (very hostile) alternate dimension called the Upside Down. The series depicts a band of teenagers who assist the clueless adults in restoring order in our world. (Seasons one through four now available on Netflix.)

The Stringer: The Man Who Took The Photo (Netflix Original Documentary)
Release Date: Friday, November 28
At the height of the Vietnam War in 1972, a photographer took a photo of a Vietnamese family fleeing after a napalm attack by U.S. forces. The photo, which won a Pulitzer Prize, and became one of the most famous images in history, was attributed to an Associated Press photographer named Nick Ut. However, this Netflix documentary presents evidence from a two-year investigation suggesting a freelance photographer actually took the shot and should now get the credit, more than 50 years later. The show chronicles how the ‘fog of war’ can mute memories and divide people for decades.

Missing: Dead or Alive? – Season Two (Netflix Original Documentary)
Release Date: Monday, November 24
And speaking of mysteries, the Netflix doc team imbeds with the missing persons department in Columbia, South Carolina for another season of chasing down leads for the disappeared. This is true crime heaven, folks.
