Amazon’s Prime Video this Black Friday week (November 23-29, 2025) will add three new shows – and you should watch them all, in my humble opinion. And here they are:

Mickey 17 (2025)
Release Date: Wednesday, November 26

Robert Pattinson (The Batman, Twilight) stars as Mickey, a lowlife in the year 2050 who evades a murderous loan shark by joining a spaceship crew who will colonize a distant planet. Once on the ship, Mickey is tasked with a series of dangerous missions, leaving him in greater peril than any loan shark ever could. The film, directed by Bong Joon Ho (Parasite) is a black comedy about human foibles governmental arrogance set in a sci-fi world. May be a bit quirky for some but it has lots of laughs and some thought-provoking themes. The fun cast also includes Mark Ruffalo and Toni Collette.

Amazon’s Exclusive Black Friday NFL Game
Release Date: Friday, November 28 at 3 p.m. ET

Once again this year, Amazon will host an exclusive NFL game on Black Friday and this year it’s a winner: The Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Chicago Bears. Both teams are competing for playoff spots so what can be a better way to cap your Black Friday shopping day with some smashmouth football?

NBA On Prime: Black Friday Doubleheader
Release Date: Friday, November 28

After the Eagles-Bears game wraps, kick back for some more action with a NBA doubleheader: Bucks at Knicks at 7 p.m. ET and Mavericks at Lakers at 10 p.m. ET. If you haven’t seen an Amazon NBA game yet, I think you’ll be impressed. Great picture; great production values.

That’s it. Happy shopping and happy viewing, everyone.
