Comcast and Altitude Sports have ended their almost six-year carriage dispute, allowing the regional sports network (RSN) to return to the Xfinity TV lineup in Colorado, New Mexico and parts of Arizona and Kansas.
Altitude Sports, the regional TV home of the NBA’s Denver Nuggets and NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, will be available starting today on Xfinity TV channel 1250 in the Denver market.
The RSN will be part of the Xfinity More Sports and Entertainment (MSE) plan, an add-on package that will be adjusted to $15.95 a month effective April 8. Comcast said subscribers to Xfinity’s Popular TV, Ultimate TV or the new Sports & News plan can purchase the MSE add-on. Current subscribers to the MSE package in the territory will see the Altitude network in their channel lineup today.
“Xfinity delivers the sports and entertainment customers love,” J.D. Keller, senior vice president of Comcast’s Mountain West Region, said in a statement. “We’re excited to give fans more ways to watch the recent world-champion Avalanche and Nuggets through this new agreement with Altitude.”
Xfinity customers can add the MSE package to existing service by clicking here.
Xfinity Internet-only customers also will be able to subscribe to live-game streaming via the Altitude+ app for $19.95 per month.
