DIRECTV’s Free Streaming Service Now Has 16 Sports Channels – Here’s the Complete List

TV Answer Man, I know DIRECTV has a free streaming service now. Do you know if they have any sports channels for free? – Tim, St. Paul, Minnesota.

Tim, DIRECTV’s free streaming service, called MyFreeDIRECTV, is available to both DIRECTV subscribers and non-DIRECTV consumers. The free lineup includes roughly 90 live channels and on-demand programming. You can watch the free channels by creating a DIRECTV account at DIRECTV.com and then going to the DIRECTV Stream app or this web page.

MyFreeDIRECTV now has 16 live sports channels. The list includes the ACC Digital Network, which offers live and replay coverage of Atlantic Coast Conference games; SportsGrid Live, which includes updates on the latest betting odds for sports; Rome, which features shows with the sports personality, Jim Rome; PBTV, which features pickleball play, and Surfer, which self-evidently covers the surfing industry.

DIRECTV’s free service does not have as many sports channels as some of its free rivals do. For example, Sling TV’s Freestream has 39 sports nets while Pluto TV has 28. MyFreeDIRECTV also doesn’t carry some of the better-known freebies such as NFL Channel and MLB Channel. But the service is only two months old and DIRECTV has promised to expand the lineup.
