Plex Has 66 Free Sports Channels – Here’s the Complete List

TV Answer Man, I have enjoyed your articles on the free streaming services. Do you know anything about Plex and what sports channels they have for free? — Donnie, Ames, Iowa.

Donnie, Plex, an ads-supported free streaming service similar to Pluto TV and Tubi, has more than 600 free channels which can be watched by clicking here or via apps on devices such as Roku, Amazon’s Fire TV and Apple TV. The lineup includes such categories as news, reality, drama, true crime, game shows, movies, comedy, daytime TV, history & science, classic TV, among others.

In the sports category, there are 66 free channels. The list includes The NFL Channel, the league’s free digital service featuring classic game broadcasts, studio shows, documentaries and other programming; CBS Sports HQ, a 24/7 sports news and highlights service from the aforementioned network; Fox Sports, which offers a mix of studio and news shows from the network; and the MLB Channel, baseball’s free service featuring its classic games and other programming.

You’ll notice that the Plex sports lineup does not include ESPN, FS1 or other well-known pay TV networks. The reason is that they charge large fees for TV services to carry them. As an ads-supported free service, Plex does not have the resources to pay for them. However, the lineup is still impressive for a free service with more sports channels than Pluto TV, Tubi or The Roku Channel.
