The CW, NBC, CBS, ABC and Fox tonight (February 23, 2026) will add 16 shows to their lineups. Here are the four to watch, in my humble opinion. (All Times Eastern.)

Memory Of a Killer (New Episode)
Where to Watch: Fox
When to Watch: 9 p.m.
What Kind of Show: Drama
Who’s In It: Patrick Dempsey, Michael Imperioli

Patrick Dempsey stars as a hitman in the early stages of Alzheimer’s in this new buzzy drama from Fox. Dempsey, perhaps best known as the ‘sexiest man alive’ from his turn in the soapy Grey’s Anatomy, gets a chance to show his serious acting chops here. Michael Imperioli, who played Christopher in The Sopranos, supports as the hitman’s employer and longtime friend. In tonight’s new episode, number five, Dempsey’s Angelo the hitman flashes back five years to when he planned to stop killing and start caring for his Alzheimer-affected brother. If his plan was successful, he would be on The CW now, not Fox. So count your blessings, Angelo.

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins (New episode and pilot)
Where to Watch: NBC
When to Watch: 8-9 p.m.
What Kind of Show: Comedy
Who’s In It: Tracy Morgan, Daniel Radcliffe, Heidi Gardner, Bobby Moynihan

Tracy Morgan (30 Rock) stars as a former pro football player who was banned from the sport for gambling on his team. He hires a blacklisted director (Daniel Radcliffe) to produce a documentary on him to restore his image. The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins, which also features a strong supporting cast including SNL’s Heidi Gardner and Bobby Moynihan, is produced by the team who created 30 Rock and that’s good enough for me. 30 Rock was one of the funniest shows of this century and Morgan (pictured above) is a hoot. Tonight, NBC will reprise the pilot episode at 8 p.m. and then a new episode (number two in season one) at 8:30 p.m.

American Idol (New episode)
Where to Watch: ABC

When to Watch: 8 p.m.
What Kind of Show: Reality/Competition
Who’s In It: Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest
Tonight, the celebrity judges will preside over round two of the wannabes auditions, this time in Nashville. (The show was previously filmed in Hawaii and the move to Music City in February calls into question the judgment of the entire production team.)

DMV (New episode)
Where to Watch: CBS
When to Watch: 8:30 p.m.

Who’s In It: Harriet Dyer, Tim MeadowsLeslie Jones
It’s hard to believe that a workplace comedy about a motor vehicles department hasn’t been made until now. But CBS’ new sitcom, DMW, which is based in Los Angeles (where driving is a dangerous sport), fits the bill nicely. Harriet Dyer stars as a soft-hearted driving examiner and the great Tim Meadows (Saturday Night Live, Mean Girls) is on board as a former English professor turned driving instructor. In tonight’s new episode, Collette (Dyer) tries to enter Ceci’s inner circle by dating her cousin while Barb (Molly Kearney) learns about Gregg’s lawsuit.
