DIRECTV Unveils Special Features For 2026 Winter Olympics

DIRECTV has announced a series of special viewing features that will be available for NBC’s broadcast of the 2026 Winter Olympics from Italy which start next week.
The Winter Games will officially take place from Friday, February 6 to Sunday, February 22 although some preliminary events will be held on Wednesday and Thursday of next week.
In addition to airing HD coverage of the Games on NBC, CNBC and the USA Network, DIRECTV will offer some events in 4K on one of its dedicated 4K channels, usually channel 105.
The 4K channel will be available to satellite and streaming customers who receive USA Network, including MySports genre subscribers.
DIRECTV’s satellite subscribers will be able to watch an Olympics Mix channel (multiple channel displays on one screen) as well as access an on-screen interactive display of medal counts and events by date and sport. The Olympics Mix channel will be available on 205-2, 600-2 and 242-1.
DIRECTV’s streaming customers will have access to enhanced interactive features through Sports Mode and Sports Central, including Olympics Tournament Pages, individual sport pages, curated carousels, and an Olympics Mix in select markets.
The TV provider says NBCUniversal will also provide Olympic highlights and select full-event replays to all DIRECTV customers via the DIRECTV Sports Central page. This includes daily Olympic highlights, key event recaps, viral moments and full-event replays of top events.
