Amazon’s Prime Video this week (December 29, 2024-January 4, 2025) plans to add 78 TV shows and movies to its lineup. Here’s the three most interesting, in my humble opinion:

The Fall Guy (2024)
The Fall Guy stars Ryan Gosling as a Hollywood stunt man whose work in his ex-girlfriend’s (Emily Blunt) film gets complicated when the lead actor mysteriously disappears. The director asks him to find the actor which turns out to be his most dangerous stunt yet. The comedy/adventure film is one of the great popcorn movies of 2024, which means dim the lights, and your expectations, before viewing and you’ll enjoy. Debuts Thursday, January 2.

American Sniper (2014)
Bradley Cooper stars as Navy Seal sniper Chris Kyle in this gripping and poignant portrait directed by Clint Eastwood. Cooper is brilliant as Kyle whose dedication to the mission cannot be easily shed even when he’s thousands of miles away at home. Debuts Wednesday, January 1.

Boogie Nights (1997)
Director Paul Thomas Anderson’s inventive 1997 take on the 1970s adult cinema industry starring Mark Wahlberg as the cut out for the legendary John Holmes. However, PTA’s film is far more than a chronicle of the SoCal adult film world from decades ago. It’s a thrilling and sometimes tragic look at a collection of lost souls who yearn for acceptance and recognition. whether they are shedding clothes for cash or slinging stereos in the Valley. Debuts Wednesday, January 1.
