The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

TV Answer Man, okay I got one for you. What about the Doc show on Fox? Will that get another season? (It’s a great show!!) Please let us know and thanks. – Ashley, Manhattan Beach, California.

Ashley, Molly Parker (Deadwood) stars in Doc as a brilliant doctor (there are only brilliant doctors in prime time TV) who loses her memory of the last eight years after suffering a traumatic brain injury in a car accident. She must rebuild her life and career while seeking to regain past memories. Okay, the plot line may seem ridiculous but Parker is an excellent actress and somehow pulls it off.

Doc is now in the middle of season two but will it come back for a third season this fall?

Answer: Yes! Fox announced today that it’s official and Doc will get a 22-episode third season that will debut during the 2026/27 season.

“Doc has become a true breakout for Fox, delivering our largest scripted multi-platform audience of the season and building remarkable momentum across Fox, Hulu, Netflix, and internationally — earning it another 22-episode order,” Michael Thorn, president of Fox Television Network, said in a statement released today. “That success is a testament to the exceptional creative leadership of (show producers) Hank Steinberg and Barbie Kligman, our terrific partners at Sony, and the talented Molly Parker, whose deeply nuanced performance gives the series its soul.”

Ashley, I hope that answers your question (and makes your day.) Happy viewing and stay safe!
