Netflix, Amazon’s Prime Video, Peacock, HBO Max, Apple TV, Disney Plus, Hulu and Paramount Plus today (February 27, 2026) are adding 21 new TV shows and movies to their streaming lineups. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Paul McCartney: Man On the Run (2025)
Where to Watch: Amazon’s Prime Video
What Kind of Show: Music Documentary
Who’s In It: Paul and Linda McCartney

The new documentary chronicles the life of musical legend Paul McCartney in the decade after the breakup of The Beatles, including the making of his seminal album, Band On the Run. Despite his unprecedented success with John, George and Ringo, McCartney struggled for a time finding his musical footing due to deep doubts that his creativity had reached an end. The documentary has won near unanimous praise for its candid portrayal of a genius in transition.

Monarch: Legacy of Monsters (Season Two Premiere)
Where to Watch: Apple TV
What Kind of Show: Monster Action
Who’s In It: Kurt Russell, Wyatt Russell

Apple TV, the new HBO, has done it again with this over-the-top (in a good way) series inspired by the Godzilla movies. Kurt Russell stars as the head of an international organization that monitors the activity of monsters such as Godzilla which, of course, means he actually can do nothing to stop them. (It’s a monster movie, folks.) Kurt’s real-life son, Wyatt, plays his Dad in the 1950s. In the 10-episode season two, which premieres today, a mythical sea-based creature rises from the deep while Godzilla is still doing Godzilla things.

The Accountant (2016)
Where to Watch: Hulu
What Kind of Show: Drama/Action
Who’s In It: Ben Affleck, Jon Bernthal, Anna Kendrick

Ben Affleck stars as an autistic accountant who moonlights as a financial ‘cleaner’ for shady organizations. His character undercovers some suspicious activity by a robotics company and he’s suddenly being chased down by a hitman (Jon Bernthal) and a U.S. Treasury agent (J.K. Simmons). The Accountant, which triggered a sequel, The Accountant 2 in 2025, is a thrill-a-minute ride with fun performances from Affleck and Bernthal who plays the mercenary with characteristic scenery-chewing charm.
