Super Bowl 2026: Which TV Providers Will Show It In 4K?

TV Answer Man, do you know which TV companies will have the Super Bowl in 4K on Sunday? – Peter, New Haven, Connecticut.

Peter, Super Bowl 60, which will kickoff around 6:40 p.m. ET today (Sunday, February 8) will be available via NBC in upscaled 4K on Peacock, the NBC operated streaming service.

But what if you don’t subscribe to Peacock? Can you still watch the game in 4K?

Answer: Yes! TV providers that will air the game on special 4K channels are: DIRECTV, YouTube TV, Comcast’s Xfinity TV, Cox, Optimum TV, Verizon, Dish, Sling TV and Charter’s Spectrum TV.

A few notes:
– Comcast says a new technology will enable it to air the game in 4K faster than other providers, meaning the on-screen action will be closer to the on-field action. We have no way to check this before the game, but if true, it would allow you to watch the Super Bowl in 4K with a smaller delay. (4K and streaming sometimes can be up to 60 seconds behind real-time action.)

– You can not watch the game in 4K using an antenna, even the new NextGen antenna. The game will be in 1080p HD HDR (High Dynamic Range) on the NextGen antenna. In some markets, it will also be available in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

– The 4K feed will be upscaled, meaning it will be produced in 1080p HD and converted to 4K for the home transmission. Upscaled 4K is not considered by most display experts as being as realistic as native 4K (4K production and 4K home transmission) but it’s a clear upgrade over regular high-definition images.

Peter, I hope that helps. Happy viewing and stay safe!
