Paramount Plus to Add 133 New Releases This Week: The 4 to Watch

By Phillip Swann
The  TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!

Paramount Plus this week (January 26-February 1, 2026) will add 133 new TV shows and movies to its streaming lineup. Here are the four to watch, in my humble opinion:

68th Annual Grammy Awards
When to Watch: Sunday, February 1, 8 p.m. ET
What Kind of Show: Awards Show
Who’s In It: Trevor Noah, Sabrina Carpenter

The music industry’s annual salute to itself will air Sunday, February 1 on CBS and Paramount Plus (for subscribers with the $13.99 a month Premium plan), starting at 8 p.m. ET. Sabrina Carpenter, Leon Thomas, Kendrick Lamar, Lady Gaga, Olivia Dean, The Marías and Addison Rae are among the expected performers. Trevor Noah returns as host for the sixth and final time.

UFC 325
When to Watch: Saturday, January 31, 5 p.m. ET
What Kind of Show: Mixed Martial Arts
Who’s In It: Alexander Volkanovski, Diego Lopes

Paramount Plus’ exclusive live coverage of big time UFC fights continues on Saturday with a featherweight championship match between Alexander ‘The Great’ Volkanovski and Diego Lopes. The preliminaries begin at 5 p.m. ET with the main event at 9 p.m. ET. The fights will be available to all Paramount Plus subscribers, Essential and Premium.

UFC Ultimate Knockouts (Season One)
When to Watch: Sunday, February 1
What Kind of Show: Sports Documentary
Who’s In It: Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz

As part of its mega investment in the UFC, Paramount Plus will house live fights, and an exclusive archive of past matches and documentaries. So on Sunday (February 1), the streamer will add season one of UFC Ultimate Knockouts featuring mixed martial arts legends such as Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, Randy Couture and Victor Belfort.

The Godfather and The Godfather, Part II (1972 and 1974 respectively)
When to Watch: Sunday, February 1
What Kind of Movies: Crime Drama
Who’s In Them: Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, James Caan, Robert Duvall, John Cazale

Arguably the two greatest films ever, director (and co-writer with Mario Puzo) Francis Ford Coppola paints a cinematic masterpiece in each film, chronicling the rise of the Corleone crime family from its early immigrant roots at the turn of the 20th Century to its powerful reign in 1950s and 60s America. The cast is one to die for, pun intended, with Marlon Brando somehow even eclipsing his greatest roles in the 1950s (On the Waterfront, A Streetcar Named Desire) as family head Vito Corleone and a here-to-then unknown named Al Pacino as his son, Michael Corleone, who’s corrupted by family loyalties and power. And there’s the supporting crew. James Caan. Robert Duvall. Diane Keaton. John Cazale. Sterling Hayden. Robert DeNiro (!). My goodness, I can talk about these movies all day long.
