The TV Answer Man – Buy Me a Coffee!
There’s nothing worse than watching the final season episode of a favorite show and then sitting there not knowing when the next season will start. The TV Answer Man is here to help, as always, so here is the latest news on when five popular TV shows are expected to return for new seasons:
Pluribus, Season Two
Where to Watch: Apple TV
When to Watch: Possibly 2027 (Ouch)
Pluribus, which stars Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) as the unhappiest person in a world taken over by a happy virus, has been become the most viewed show ever on Apple TV. However, fans will have to wait awhile to watch season two. (Season one ended last week). Creator Vince Gilligan says the writers are just now starting to outline season two and production may not begin until spring at the earliest. That means it could be 2027 before season two debuts on Apple TV. (Season one now available on Apple TV.)
Malcom In the Middle: Life’s Still Unfair, Season 8
Where to Watch: Disney+/Hulu
When to Watch: April 10, 2026
Malcolm In the Middle, which starred Frankie Muniz as a gifted but awkward middle brother and Bryan Cranston (pre-Breaking Bad) as his Dad, ran for seven seasons on Fox from 2000-2006. Disney+ is bringing the show back on April 10, 2026 for a four-episode revival with Muniz, Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek (Mom) all on board. Pluribus fans, at least you won’t have to wait 19 years like the Malcolm fans did. (The first seven seasons are now available on Disney Plus.)
Your Friends & Neighbors, Season Two
Where to Watch: Apple TV
When to Watch: April 3, 2026
Apple TV has announced that the critically-acclaimed Your Friends & Neighbors series will return with season two on April 3, 2026. The show stars Jon Hamm as a recently divorced and unemployed New York hedge fund manager who decides to rob his neighbors’ homes to maintain his lavish lifestyle. The black comedy also stars Amanda Peet as his ex-wife and Olivia Munn as his booty call pal but Hamm is the reason to stream in. The Mad Man star has managed to eclipse his fame in the AMC series with terrific performances in such shows as Landman, Fargo and The Morning Show. And Hamm is perfect here as a world-weary executive elite who will stoop to almost anything to preserve his comfortable existence. He’s sort of Don Draper without the pitch meetings. (Season one now available on Apple TV.)
The Pitt – Season Two
Where to Watch: HBO Max
When to Watch: January 8, 2026
Noah Wyle returns on January 8, 2026 in this medical dramatic series about the hellish life of emergency room workers at a Pittsburgh hospital. In season one, each episode covered one hour in the 15-hour day shift and the show quickly became a streaming obsession for many viewers, particularly those who fondly remember Wyle in NBC’s ER. (R. Scott Gemmill, who won Emmys for his writing and producing ER, is The Pitt’s showrunner.) In season two, the medical staff will be pushed like never before attending multiple victims from the July 4th Pittfest shooting. (The first episode debuts January 8 with subsequent episodes every Thursday until the season finale on March 26, 2026. Season one is now available on HBO Max.)
Euphoria, Season Three
Where to Watch: HBO Max
When to Watch: April 2026
The show which features some of the hottest young stars in Hollywood (Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Zendaya) will return for season three in April, almost four years after season two ended. The new season will follow the nubile crew in college after spending the first two seasons in high school. Natasha Lyonne (Poker Face) is joining the cast although her role has yet to be explained.
