DIRECTV is holding a free preview of the Cowboy Channel from December 4 (today) to December 13 for both satellite and streaming customers. This is the first time that the Cowboy Channel will be available in the DIRECTV streaming lineup.

The free preview will allow DIRECTV subscribers to watch the Cowboy Channel’s coverage of the 10-day National Finals Rodeo tournament which begins today. The Cowboy Channel, which features Western sports and lifestyle programming, will be available on DIRECTV’s channel 603.

The National Finals Rodeo tournament showcases the 15 top money winners of each rodeo season. The cowboys will participate in such competitive events as bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, barrel racing and tie-down roping.

The tournament, which will be held in Las Vegas, will be exclusively broadcast by the Cowboy Channel.

DIRECTV says the National Finals Rodeo will also be available in sports bars, restaurants, and other venues which subscribe to its business plan.
