Amazon, Netflix, Paramount+ & Hulu Add 24 New Releases Thursday – Here Are the 3 to Watch

Netflix, HBO Max, Peacock, Paramount Plus, Hulu and Amazon today (December 4, 2025) added 24 new shows and movies. Here are the three to watch, in my humble opinion:

Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning – Paramount Plus
Thursday, December 4
Cinematic daredevil Tom Cruise (pictured above) stars in the last installment of the nearly three-decade old Mission Impossible movie series. The secret agent here continues his quest to stop an Artificial Intelligence device from destroying all of humanity. (No, it’s not Alexa.) The supporting cast includes the usual gang of ever-resourceful geniuses including Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg and Hayley Atwell.

Mean Girls (2004) – Mean Girls (2024) – Netflix
Written by 30 Rock’s Tina Fey, who also plays a teacher here, the 2004 comedy stars Lindsay Lohan as a high school student who befriends a gaggle of popular but nasty classmates played by Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Lacey Chabert. The decision leads to a series of misadventures and backstabbing as well as various plots of revenge. Mean Girls is a funny and smart take on high school life from one of America’s greatest living satirists, Ms. Fey.

Also today: Netflix is adding the musical version of the film with Fey returning as teacher Mrs. Norbury and Tim Meadows back as well as the school principal. Mean Girls, the musical, which was released in 2024, also stars Renee Rapp as Regina George (played by McAdams in the 2004 film) and Busy Philipps as her mom.

Thursday Night Football: Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions – Amazon’s Prime Video
Thursday, December 4, 7:00 p.m. ET pre-game show; kickoff at 8:15 p.m. ET.
Amazon, which just celebrated Black Friday with a big-time matchup between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles (won by the Bears, 24-15), has another winner tonight: Dallas at Detroit. The resurgent Cowboys (6-5-1) have thrust themselves into the playoff hunt while Detroit needs a win after losing to the Packers on Thanksgiving day.
