Apple TV has announced that it will release the next episode (the fifth) of Pluribus on Wednesday (November 26, 2025), two days before the normal Friday release date for new episodes of the rookie sci-fi series.

The change is to accommodate viewers who might be a bit busy on Friday due to the traditional Black Friday shopping day following Thursday’s Thanksgiving.

Pluribus stars Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) as the unhappiest person in the world in this much-anticipated sci-fi series from Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. Set in Albuquerque, New Mexico (the location for Breaking Bad and Gilligan’s Better Call Saul), Seehorn (pictured above) plays a writer named Carol who somehow manages to avoid a global virus that transforms everyone into a happy and contented individual. Her non-conformity provokes concern among the populace who cater to her every need and promise a swift solution for her ‘condition.’ Carol, however, aims to persuade the world that being ‘virus happy’ is not what it’s cracked up to be.

I’ve seen the first four episodes of Pluribus and am happy to declare it the best show currently on TV. Seehorn is funny and sympathetic in the main role and Gilligan, who so flawlessly depicted the criminal subculture in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, has now put the entire crazy world in the spotlight.

Apple TV is normally $12.99 a month but it’s running a Black Friday special for $5.99 a month for six months.
