Netflix to Remove 26 Movies In One Week – Here Are the 3 to Watch Before They Leave

Netflix plans to remove 26 movies from its streaming lineup on December 1, 2025. Here are the three you should definitely watch (or rewatch) before they leave, in my humble opinion:

Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery (1997)
The 1997 comedy is directed by Jay Roach (Meet the Parents, Bombshell), and while we don’t want to discount his many talents, this is Mike Myers’ film from top to bottom. Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery stars Myers as the groovy 1960s secret agent who’s awakened from hibernation after three decades so he can catch his longtime nemesis, Dr. Evil, also played by the aforementioned Mr. Myers (who also wrote the screenplay!) The movie is a sassy spoof of the 60s spy genre (Bond, The Ipcress File) as well as a showcase for Myers who channels his former Saturday Night Live boss, Lorne Michaels, for the Dr. Evil persona (pictured above). Netflix is also removing the two sequels, and while they are funny on their own merits, the first was the best.

Beverly Hills Cop (1984)
Eddie Murphy is back as Axel Foley, the street-smart Detroit detective turned Beverly Hills transplant in the first of four in the series. Arguably Murphy’s best character over the years, he is joined by the BHC gang of idiots including Judge Reinhold, Bronson Pinchot and John Ashton. But this is Eddie in his prime and no one was funnier than Eddie in his prime.

The Nutty Professor (1996) 
Speaking of the devil…The Nutty Professor is Murphy’s 1996 homage to the original Jerry Lewis 1963 masterpiece with the former playing multiple roles including a meek scientist who discovers a formula that turns him into a testosterone-fueled ladies’ man. Eddie should have received an Oscar nom for this, but that’s another story for another day.
