Black Friday: Where’s the Deals For Paramount Plus & Peacock?

TV Answer Man, I read your article on the Black Friday deals for HBO Max and Hulu and Disney, but what about Paramount Plus and Peacock? Don’t they have deals for the holiday, too? And will Hulu have the 99 cents deal? – Sherri, Nashville.
Sherri, you’re right. We reported this morning that HBO Max’s ads-included plan is now available for $2.99 a month for 12 months. With the regular price at $10.99, that’s a pretty good deal.
We also noted this morning that the Hulu/Disney Plus bundle is now available for $4.99 a month for 12 months to celebrate the Black Friday sale. The regular price is $12.99 a month.
Last week, we also informed all that Apple TV is selling its streaming service for $5.99 a month for six months, roughly a 50 percent discount.
But what about the other major streamers, you ask?
Well, Netflix doesn’t do Black Friday discounts so we can dismiss that possibility.
Paramount Plus is expected tomorrow (November 25) to offer its service for $2.99 a month for two months. That should be good for either its ads-included Essential plan or the Premium package.
I’m less certain that Peacock will offer a Black Friday discount besides its availability in the Walmart Plus plan which has been reduced 50 percent to $49 a year. That’s a great deal. You get all the Walmart Plus shipping benefits – and either Peacock or Paramount Plus for free for a year. If Peacock does offer a standalone discount, it will probably be tomorrow.
As for Hulu’s annual 99 cents or $1.99 a month deal, I don’t foresee the streamer doing it this year. Disney is emphasizing the Hulu-Disney bundle so it wouldn’t make much sense to incentivize a subscription to a standalone Hulu.
Sherri, I hope that answers your question. Happy viewing and stay safe!
